Candura (NO) ¦ Cph Jazz Festival ¦ Union

Their music fuses elements from Brazilian styles such as MPB, bossa nova and samba with Italian disco, Turkish funk and modern indiepop – resulting in a distinctive sonic identity that is vibrant and warm. With tight grooves, intricate vocal arrangements, rich keys, detailed percussion and atmospheric textures, Candura creates a sound that feels both timeless and forward-looking.

The ambition is to build a musical world that feels fresh, sincere and inviting – a place for both emotion and escapism.

The band consists of experienced musicians known from a wide range of other projects, and will release their first double single this fall. The debut album is expected in 2026.

In Union, we invite you to enjoy a series of exciting eclectic concerts, which explore the borderlands of jazz. In other words, you should not expect traditional jazz, but rather a journey to the global roots of jazz.
