Day of the Dead: Cumbión de Muertos

We always celebrate the Day of the Dead here at Union, and in 2026 we are expanding with a weekend edition: Two evenings of cumbia rhythms, partying and fellowship!

Death is a part of life. Yet we spend enormous energy opposing, fearing and repressing it. Maybe we should embrace it a little more – and try to understand why it arouses such strong emotions?

They do this to full music in Mexico every year at the beginning of November, when the living and the dead meet in the celebration of the Day of the Dead.

Party with death

This year we are marking the holiday with a huge two-day party - a cumbión de muertos - where we pay tribute to death and celebrate life.
