Talk: The consequences of war
Visaka Dharmadasa is the founder and Chair of Association of War Affected Women and Parents of Servicemen Missing in Action in Sri Lanka. Struggling to end the civil war, she was able to broker the ceasefire between the Government of Sri Lanka and the tamil LTTE, and was able to bring women together across the conflict lines to work for peace.
Visaka Dharmadasa draws from lived experience and contributes to the Security and Conflict Resolution Workshop in Copenhagen in week 49, 2025.
Convenors: Jørgen Østergård Andersen & Majken Sørensen.
The talk is free, and there is no sign up.
