#YouCanAlsoBeASoundEngineer
If you are a musician, booker, agent, festival organizer or simply have the curiosity of live sound engineering? Then this workshop might be for you.
Aarhus Lydforening in collaboration with ROSA, DMF, Tuborgfondet and Union present the 5th version of #YouCanAlsoBeASoundEngineer to share knowledge as well as raise women and gender minority involvement in live sound engineering and music technology.
The workshop will take place over 3 days from the 10th of April to the 12th of April – every day from 09.30 to 15.30.
Through the workshop you will:
➽ Have an introduction in live sound
➽ Talk about analog and digital mixers, acoustics, mixing monitor, FOH, microphone placement
➽ Be a part of the soundcheck process
➽ Talk about sound perceptions at concerts and the psychology of working with musicians
➽ Expand your network and meet other people in this interest
➽ Exchange experiences
➽ And just be YOURSELF in our safe, open and friendly space.
This project is mainly focused on young (16-35) female and non-binary people all over Denmark who are interested in live sound engineering and music technology from any genre, but everyone is welcome to join.
*You won't need to be able to play instruments or know a lot about music beforehand. As long as you want to and are curious to learn something new, and just love music, you can participate and try yourself if you would like to dig into this field.
